Hobbies: Planning on taking over the world
Zodiac: Virgo
CF. How did you get into cosplay, who did you portray first, and why?
AV: I first got into cosplay by discovering it by creating my female Darth Vader costume. I wanted to be a female Darth Vader and searching for things online also introduced me to the world of cosplay. I saw how amazing people made things and told myself I wanted to do that. I really just wanted to walk around force choking people and having my red Lightsaber. Plus having  that walk down and the Imperial March playing is pretty sweet. I love Star Wars and Darth Vader so much and I didn’t care I wanted to be him. It never mattered to me about gender types in cosplay and to this day I stand by that.
CF. What’s the best part of cosplay?
AV: The best part of cosplay is just making people smile and getting to dress up. It’s an awesome creative outlet of constant learning.
CF. If you could be any super hero or villain who would you be and why?
AV: I would be Magneto. Magneto is my very favorite and is a misunderstood villain. I love his background story, and how he becomes strong into his own. He stands up for the X-Men and for them to be different and embrace their mutant powers. He is always right in the fact of how judgmental humans can be.
CF. If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and what would you say to them?
AV:This is really hard. I would want to meet Christopher Walken and ask him exactly how much is enough cowbell? I know he’ll say never enough, but I would die happy.
CF. What’s your favorite sci-fi movie and what captivates about the plot?
AV:My favorite Sci- Fi movie is Star Wars. I love how everything comes together and I always bust out crying in Return of the Jedi when Vader dies. It’s because Luke was able to reach out to him, and in the end it was Vader who brought balance to the force by killing the Emperor. There is so much emotion.
CF. What’s the craziest thing a fan sent you or requested?
AV: I’m actually crazy myself, so nothing has really come off crazy to me. I laugh a lot at things and I try to understand others.
CF. What sidekick would you hire to be your personal assistant and why?
AV: I would hire Batman. Why?, because he’s Batman. The world’s greatest detective.
CF. What character intimidates the heck out of you, why, and when will you attempt take the challenge to portray them?
AV: Pennywise from IT intimidates me and that will never be done. EVER!!!! EVER!!!!!! Plus I’m also really Magneto, so besides IT, nothing intimidates me.
CF. Do you know a lot about the series you cosplay?
AV: I only cosplay characters that I am most in love with. I obsess over things, and I would never cosplay anything because it’s new or popular. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I actually try to take a more unique route. I love being asked about the characters I cosplay and explaining the background stories of them all!
CF. What’s your favorite comic con to attend and what makes it so special?
AV: I have to work  full time and I’m poor, so I can only travel to local cons. I love Dallas Comic Con in Dallas, Tx, because I have a huge cosplay friend group! These people are like family to me and I love them.  North Texas Cosplay!
CF. What comic con’s are definitely attending this year?
AV: I am attending Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco, Tx, Alamo City Comic con in San Antonio, Tx, Tyler Rose City comic con in Tyler, Tx, and Fan Days Dallas Comic con in Dallas Tx, Sci Fi Expo Dallas Comic Con, Dallas Tx, and Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, CA, and Dallas Comic Con.
CF. What’s one thing you wish fans wouldn’t do?
AV: I wish fans wouldn’t be rude or tear down others. I don’t experience this with my #teammagneto, but I’m very quick to ban someone if they do. I see it happen on other’s pages and it breaks my heart.
CF. Who was your favorite character to portray and what rocked about it?
AV: My favorite character to cosplay will always be Magneto. It’s so awesome to get into character and even more fun with fellow X-Men cosplayers. I have a friend who cosplays Charles who is Alex Ray Cosplay and we are supposed to play a game of chess at a con this fall. It’s a cosplay dream for me to play Charles in chess at a comic con as Magneto. Plus, I know I’ll win and beat him.
CF. How do you keep cosplay fun?
AV: I keep cosplay fun by making friends, ignoring dramatic bull crap and lots and tons of cowbell and there’s just never enough. Plus, on my page we have #Teammagneto and we rock and have fun with that! I told myself that if I was going to have my little page and if people were going to follow me, than I wanted to stand for something. I created #Teammagneto which is what I call anyone that follows me and it’s just a thing. I love to support and share other cosplayer’s work. I just want to make people smile, and if by sharing their awesome page or cosplay makes them smile than good! I know you can’t make everyone happy, but I love my circle and I know that #Teammagneto appreciates it. I love my followers and they are more of friends to me than fans. I think it’s weird to call them fans, because I dress up like they do and I try and help them with any questions they have. We all have the same fandoms and it’s just fun. When you’re too busy focusing on yourself and positive energy, you’re too busy to dwell in the negativity. I know it’s always there though, and I’ll just chase it off with a huge loud cowbell.
CF. Where can new fans go to follow you?
AV:If anyone wants to join the #Teammagneto shenanigans of the cowbell they can laugh with me at

Instagram @Annakavader66
CF. Other than this interview, what’s the craziest thing you agreed to do?
AV: The craziest thing that I want to do is cosplay Gollum from Lord of the Rings. I mean literally freak people out. I want to throw fish at people and tell riddles in a corner at a comic con.
CF. In your opinion what’s the meaning of life?
AV: The meaning of life will always forever be the number 42.
